Lewis County Schools Announce Kindergarten Registration Date

Lewis County Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2026–2027 school year on April 30, 2026, at Lewis County Elementary School. Registration will take place from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Parents or guardians planning to enroll a child in kindergarten must bring the required documentation in order to complete the registration process. Required documents include a copy of the child’s certified birth certificate, a certificate of immunization, and proof of a current physical examination.

To help families prepare, kindergarten registration packets are available in advance and may be picked up at Lewis County Elementary School during regular school hours. Parents of students currently enrolled in Pre‑K programs will receive registration packets directly from their child’s Pre‑K teacher.

Children must be five years old on or before August 15, 2026, to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment for the upcoming school year.
