Great news! The County Commission Committee of the Whole has approved the school system budget. I want to thank our School Board for its willingness to make a $300,000 reduction in its budget to help move the budget forward and The County Committee of the Whole for its support and partnership in passing it.

As we begin the new school year, families can also celebrate that students will receive free breakfast, free lunch, and school supplies purchased by the school system, helping ease financial burdens while ensuring every child is ready to learn.
